| 1924.3 | Keizo Yamamoto opened a shop in Tsukiji, Tokyo. |

| 1941.9 | The company was renamed Yamamoto Kogyo Co., Ltd. Due to imports halted at the start of World War II, a factory was established in Koganei for production of precision tools. Osaka and Nagoya Offices were established. |
| 1949.2 | Yamamoto & Co., Ltd., spun off from Yamamoto Kogyo Co., Ltd., was reestablished for import business of machine tools. |
| 1967.9 | New head office including showroom was rebuilt at its current location. The company was renamed Yamamoto & Co., Ltd. |
| 1977.10 | Yamamoto & Co., Ltd. was reestablished. Liaison Office in Germany was established. |
| 1988.10 | Sendai Office was established. |

Acquisition and subsidiarization of Sun Instruments, Inc. Changed the registered name to YKT CORPORATION. |
